The first tip we can give you is to bake your fries in the oven, instead of frying them. You can also use an airfryer, instead of the normal deep dryer. Because you don’t use oil in your oven or airfryer, you can reduce the calories and fat, without tasting much difference. You can also try sweet potato fries. Just cut the sweet potato into small strips and bake them in the oven or airfryer with some paprika powder.
A healthy hot dog
The American specialty has also become very well known in the Netherlands. You can buy them today from street vendors with onions, ketchup and mustard. Yet, there are healthier versions of these hot dogs. For example, the simplest tip we can give you is to make the meat of the sausage yourself or to choose a lean sausage. You can replace the bread with a whole-wheat bread, for example, and you can put sauerkraut in the bun to finish it.
